Barbara's Primary Opponents

One candidate is a career politician and, as State Representative, voted for the midnight pay raise (2005) and is widely considered a friend of spending.  The second candidate chaired County Council during the last election cycle, and Council repeatedly railed that their opponents would raise County taxes. TWO WEEKS after the election, on November 27, 2007, Council raised taxes. Both actions violated the public’s trust. They should not be rewarded with a victory on May 19th, 2009.

As past history in our county exemplifies, anyone appointed by the party bosses of Delaware County will not be as independent or creative as Barbara Murray when decisions involve your tax dollars.  Bold, independent thinking is needed in these critical times. Our current County Council members routinely vote 5-0 on their decisions.  Those days are over.   Say No to 5-0 on May 19th!
